It is after much consideration that VCD has decided to revisit our auction platform. This is not something we thought all that much about as our main business is in direct sales, buying and selling direct to clients both wholesale and retail. Due to market conditions and our clients wanting to participate in auctions for which they have encouraged us to do our own sale, we will be launching an auction that will run in conjunction with the fall Long Beach Coin Expo this year 2022. We are very happy and grateful to have such great clients who support us in all our endeavors. Initial consignments have been coming in and of course they are great because our clients collect amazing coins. In addition to rare coins we will have several lots of vintage silver bars which would be something new. The vintage silver bar market has gotten hot over the last 5 years and there are some serious collectors supporting it. We think this is a market with a lot of potential for growth over the coming years and we are proud to be able to introduce vintage bars to our sale for what we believe would be some of their first appearances on the auction block. Up until now most of these bars have traded privately, on ebay of course, and Instagram via account holders’ live sales. Our focus in terms of auctions will be to keep these sales small with limited lots so collectors don’t have to sit there all day waiting for their lots to come up, as well as making it a priority to payout to our consignors promptly. All lots will be quality coins or unique items that’s interesting to us such as vintage silver and more. We appreciate all your support and we hope to see you all soon.
