Information regarding the origins of this bar is not known yet. Based on the type font of the stamp, some collectors speculate it could have been related to Continental Silver. Other variations of the California Silver stamp have been found on bars in people’s collections but they are limited. Information from our consignor indicates this bar was sold on 9/03/2014 by Goldberg auctions. Nevertheless, the bar has character.
