21.84 oz Alexander Westerfeld (1960’s) Silver Ingot

AW smelters & refiners is a well-known refinery out of Mojave, California featuring the popular Aztec Sun hallmark. The silver was mined out of the Silver Queen Mine, also in Mojave. Mr. Westerfeld was later indicted for hazardous dumping & smuggling silver slag into Mexico. The company was dissolved not long after. This particular example is well produced and has toned over nicely. California refiners such as AW are some of the most desirable ingots in the marketplace.
