Item Description

Dark fields contrast nicely with a lighter cameo like appearance on the devices of this coin. Fields appear to have some haze due to their semi-prooflike quality. The 1846 date is normally a common date for Seated dollars, but specialists note that it becomes scarce in Mint State with only a few hundred specimens known in uncirculated condition.
