Wow! This 1799 $1 is in exceptional condition, hence it is the sole finest for the variety with the next contender being an AU55 example. This coin is extremely interesting since it is one of the latest die states. There are multiple die cracks throughout the reverse of this coin, starting in America and running throughout the reverse. The obverse is well struck and problem free. The obverse also features prominent orange toning around the date, stars, liberty, and the bust. The reverse features more of the same colors with additions of blues and reds. The reverse is very well struck. The eagle does seem to have worn down over the past 223 years since this coin was minted, but still all these years later, this coin has managed to stay problem free and a sole finest top pop example for the variety.
